JITO to Set Up 12 Jain Hostels in Country

Pune The Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO) has decided to set up 12 new hostels across the country. Of the 12 hostels, three will come up in the city. About Rs 100 crore has been approved for the same. Other aspects including area and place are yet to be finalised.

The construction of the hostels will begin in June and is likely to be completed in a year.

Promising support to all JITO projects, 400 JITO delegates and premium industrialists from across the country participated in various sessions organised to make the project a success. The vision presented by JITO president Motilal Oswal gave a promising direction to future activities of the organisation.

JITO is registered as a Public Limited Company under section 25 of the Companies Act 1956. The community organisation has taken initiatives to collect money for educational programmes. The main objectives of the organisation are Seva, Shiksha, Aarthik Sudradhata, Samajik Utkarsh and Adhyatmic Unnati.

    But surprised to know that JITO been registered under company law. Is it so? Insted of this would have maintained as Trust / Foundation to avoid tax liability as we feel. Thanks. Jai Jinendra!
